Privacy Policy
What One-Anothers collects, why, and who can see it. Last updated October 12, 2026.
One-Anothers is a sign-up tool churches use to organize meals, rides, childcare, and events for people they care about. It collects only what it needs to run those sign-ups, it shows no ads, and it never sells personal information.
What we collect
If you organize a care page or an event, you create an account with your first and last name, email address, time zone, and a password or passkey. A mobile number is optional. The pages you build hold whatever you put on them: the name of the person or family being helped, a general location, a delivery address, food notes, needs, dates, and updates.
If you sign up to help, you give your first and last name and email address, what you'll bring or do, and, if you choose text reminders, your mobile number. No account is needed.
If you turn on notifications on a device, we store the push subscription your browser issues so we can send to that device. It contains no personal details.
Automatically, we keep standard web server logs and use your IP address briefly to limit repeated sign-in attempts and link guessing. We use no analytics or advertising trackers.
If you buy text-reminder credits, payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. We keep a record of the order and the credits it bought.
How we use it
- To run the sign-ups: show who's bringing what, send confirmations, and send reminders before the day by email, text, or notification, according to what you chose.
- To tell organizers when someone signs up, changes, or cancels, and to send the updates they post.
- To sign you in, keep your account secure, and respond when you contact us.
- To prevent abuse of the service.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing.
Text messages
Texts are sent only to people who tick the text-reminder box and enter their mobile number when they sign up. You'll get a short confirmation, reminders before the day, and occasionally an update from the organizer. Message frequency depends on what you signed up for. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, CANCEL to cancel your sign-up, or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who can see what
- Each care page lives at a private link that isn't listed publicly. Anyone with the link can see the page, including who has signed up and, after signing up, the delivery details. Organizers decide who gets the link.
- Organizers and co-managers of a page see the names and contact details of the people who signed up on it.
- A church's fellowship page lists its care pages by name with how many spots are open. It doesn't show helpers' details.
- Helpers get a private link to their own sign-up, and can see everything they've signed up for under "Your help" after confirming their email.
Who we share it with
Only the providers we need to run the service, and only for that purpose: our hosting provider; an email delivery service for the emails we send; Twilio for text messages; Stripe for payments; Apple, Google, and Mozilla push services for notifications you've turned on; and, where enabled, Google Maps for address suggestions when an organizer types an address. We'll also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a small cookie that remembers that you've used a passkey on a browser so the sign-in page can offer it first. There are no third-party or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Pages and sign-ups stay until an organizer removes them. Organizers can delete items, sign-ups, and whole pages from their manage area at any time. Helpers can cancel a sign-up from their private link or "Your help". Records of messages we sent are kept for troubleshooting. To delete your account, email care@one-anothers.com and we'll remove it along with the pages you own.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and passkeys mean no password at all. Private links are long random codes. No system is perfectly secure, so please share page links only with the people who need them.
Children
One-Anothers is for adults organizing and offering help. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell organizers by email.
