Help & FAQ

Short answers for people bringing a meal, and for the people organizing one.

Bringing a meal or lending a hand

Do I need an account to sign up?

No. Open the link you were given, pick a day or task, and enter your name and email. That's it. Only the people organizing a care page sign in.

How do I change or cancel my signup?

The confirmation email has a private link just for your signup. Use it any time to change what you're bringing, move to another day, or cancel. If you can't find the email, sign up again for the right day and cancel the old one from that first email when it turns up, or ask the coordinator named on the page.

Where do I take the meal?

The page shows a general location so you know roughly how far it is. The exact address arrives in your final reminder email before your day (the morning of, unless the organizer chose otherwise). It is never shown on the public page.

Will I get a reminder?

Yes, by email, usually two days before and the morning of. If the page offers text reminders and you tick the box, you'll get a short confirmation text right away and a text before your day. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.

What should I bring?

Check the food notes at the top of the meal calendar for allergies and preferences, and the drop-off instructions for where to leave things. When you sign up, say what you plan to bring so the family doesn't get lasagna four nights running.

Organizing a care page

Is this a meal train?

Yes. If you've used a meal train, meal calendar, or meal sign-up sheet before, a care page works the same way, and adds rides, childcare, yard work, and any other help on the same page. It's free, built for churches, and nobody has to create an account to bring a meal.

Can I use it for a potluck, a work day, or shifts?

Yes. Choose Plan an event instead of a care page. An event has a date and a list of sign-up items: dishes by category for a potluck, pantry staples for a pounding, jobs with a head count for a work day, or hourly shifts the app generates for you. People sign up the same way, without an account, and get the same reminders. Sign-ups close themselves the day after the event.

How do I start one?

Create an account, then choose Start a care page. Give it a name, add the days that need meals (one at a time or a whole series) and any tasks like rides or child care, then share the link. Nobody can find the page without the link.

Can I sign in without a password?

Yes, two ways. On the sign-in page, choose Email me a sign-in link and open the link from your inbox. Or add a passkey under Your account: after that, your phone or computer signs you in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your device PIN. A passkey made on an iPhone or in Google's password manager syncs to your other devices; otherwise add one on each device you use.

Who sees the delivery address?

Only people who have signed up, and only in their final reminder before their day. The public page shows just the general location you enter under Settings, which opens that general spot in Google Maps when tapped.

Can other people help me run it?

Yes. Under Team, invite co-managers by email. They can add days and tasks, see signups, and post updates. Each manager chooses which email notifications they receive.

How do I keep everyone informed?

Post an update from the manage area. Updates appear on the page's Updates tab, so people who check in see the latest news without a group text.

What does pausing do?

A paused page shows a short "paused for now" note instead of the calendar and takes no signups. Nothing is deleted, and you can resume from Settings. Pages also pause themselves after a quiet spell, two weeks after the last scheduled date by default. You can change or turn that off under Settings.

What is a fellowship?

A fellowship is a whole church, or any part of it that looks after its own: a cluster of small groups, a campus, a ministry team. Its page lists every current need among its members in one place. Join one with the code its organizer gives you under Fellowships, and any of your care pages can then be listed there from Settings. A care page is never listed anywhere else.

How do I print a flyer or QR code?

In the manage area, the QR code button beside Public page opens a printable flyer with the page's link and QR code. Fellowships have a QR poster too.

How do I delete a care page?

At the bottom of Settings, the owner can delete it after typing its name to confirm. That removes the page, its meal days, tasks, updates, and every signup for good.

Still stuck?

For a specific care page, the coordinator named on its page is the quickest help: they can move, cancel, or add a signup for you. For anything about the site itself, email care@one-anothers.com.
